Since 2013, Rance Hamaker has been innovating and creating his own custom dining tables, conference tables, and countertops.
But before he was one of America’s leading custom wood furniture makers, he was a curious son watching his father build in their family workshop.
Today, Rance lives south of Salt Lake City, Utah, with his wife and two daughters while carrying on his family’s legacy and dedication to impeccable functional art.

The Redpoint Standard
A passionate climber in his younger years, Rance Hamaker named his family business after the high standard of redpointing a climb up a rock face. “Redpointing” refers to leading a climbing a route without falling, stopping, or relying on anything artifical to assist you, while placing secure spots for other climbers to attach to.
In climbing, redpointing is the job of a leader and a pioneer and, because of the difficulty, redpointing is considered the standard in competitive sport climbing.
The fear and thrill of the constant looming threat of falling coupled with the knowledge that you’re leading the way for others to follow is what drives climber and craftsman, Rance Hamaker.
Today, Rance carries into his woodworking craftsmanship the legacy of not shying away from any challenge, doing what’s new and risky for great reward, and leading the industry with innovation and bravery.

Each timber slab used to create our custom dining tables, conference tables, and countertops has its own unique personality and charm.
Because we only use urban reclaimed wood, many of the timber slabs we use are hundreds of years old and sourced right here in the Rocky Mountain region from urban development projects or after being cut down due to death or disease.
To enhance the natural beauty of each piece and give you timeless durability – and a lifetime guarantee – we use only the highest quality coating to create a silky smooth touch and luxurious feel.
